The king of Britain, King Charles II, married a woman from Portugal back then in 1662. She then brought a large quantity of tea from Portugal. Until the beginning of 1700, only the aristocrats used to drink tea. But drinking tea became so popular there that every people of Great Britain started to drink tea at the end of 17th century.
